imm cologne 2010 – teamwork in Pure Village
Two brands that regard the kitchen as a living space - GROHE, Europe’s market leader in sanitary fittings, and geba, manufacturer of kitchens with aesthetic appeal, provide solutions that meet the highest standards. Product development focuses on design and functionality. Both firms will be jointly showcasing their current highlights in Pure Village at imm cologne, the international interiors show from 19 to 24 January 2010.
Blending interior environments
imm cologne will be launching a new presentation format in 2010. Well-known interior design brands will be showcasing trend-setting product solutions and exclusive interiors concepts in an innovative spatial setting in Pure Village in Hall 3.2. Open structures, an exciting juxtaposition of booths and walkways leading to the centre create living environments and open up new perspectives. GROHE und geba will be joining forces in one of the spaces in these creative surroundings to turn kitchen visions into reality.
Red and Blue – convenience and good taste
GROHE will be showcasing two product innovations in Pure Village, which redefine the function of kitchen fittings. GROHE Blue®, a tap-plus-filter system, provides both conventional tap water and delicious filtered water that can be drawn directly from the kitchen tap. The product has won the 2010 iF product design award. In contrast the new GROHE Red® system, consisting of a tap and a boiler, supplies piping hot water on tap. A childproof handle provides reliable protection against scalding. Two GROHE Red® versions are available – the smaller “Mono” only supplies hot water and is the perfect complement to GROHE Blue® or another kitchen tap model; “Duo” on the other hand provides both boiling as well as normal hot and cold water from one tap.
Both products represent the ultimate in convenience and optimum functionality. GROHE Blue® saves you having to lug crates of water and protects the environment – drinking water does not have to be bottled first in plastic bottles and be transported long distances, but is immediately available on tap, is fresh and tastes delicious. GROHE Red® saves the user having to do one of the most frequent jobs in the kitchen – boiling water – and thus saves a significant amount of time. The system does not require additional storage space and is extremely safe. Both these innovations give the kitchen sink a whole new impact as a multi-functional workstation, which facilitates and accelerates the preparation of cooked foods and provides a range of new taste sensations.
Innovative living environments – more than a mere kitchen interior
In the Pure Village geba will be showcasing a distinctive living environment that perfectly marries functionality and aesthetic appeal. The furnishing modules of the YPSILON BY GEBA product line provide innovative design solutions for living space, more than a mere kitchen interior. These modules are all perfectly in synch in terms of purpose, colours, design and materials. The quality of the materials used meets the most stringent international standards.
Particular features of this product line are the functionally designed, concealed handles. In combination with horizontally and vertically arranged aluminium profiles, they underline its purist, timeless styling. All YPSILON design elements have a logical stylistic coherence and the consistency of materials and colours generate a harmonious bigger picture. YPSILON BY GEBA not only makes cooking an indulgence involving all the senses.
This product line won the 2009 red dot product design award, the international seal of design quality. These accolades are awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen and are one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions. As evidence that its quality and safety standards have been tested, geba holds the Golden M, the quality seal of the Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel, and the GS Mark, awarded by the independent LGA QualiTest GmbH.
Partnership to promote the kitchen as a living environment
GROHE and geba provide innovation, aesthetic appeal and functionality for the kitchen in its role as a living space. They create an environment that does justice to the growing importance of the kitchen at the heart of any home. This is not just a place to live – this is a place to eat, work, talk and enjoy life. Both manufacturers complement each other perfectly in their vision for the modern kitchen.
